These terms and conditions (the "terms") govern the use of the Trefa application (trefa.app, the "service") and the conclusion of agreements for its paid use between the operator and users (the "user").
2. Description of the service
Trefa is a points-based prediction game: users predict the outcomes of sports matches, earn points for the accuracy of their predictions, and compete in rankings with their colleagues and friends. The service is provided as a web application (PWA).
The service is not a game of chance. Users do not place any monetary or in-kind bets, points cannot be exchanged for money or any other benefit, and the service does not pay out any winnings. The subscription (Article 5) is a fee for access to the service, not a stake in a game.
3. Conclusion of the agreement and user account
The agreement for use of the service is concluded upon completion of registration (signing in with a Google account and confirming these terms). The user must provide accurate information and protect access to their account. The user may cancel their account at any time in the app settings.
4. Trial period
Every user receives a 14-day trial period after registration, during which they may use the service in full without payment and without entering payment card details. After the trial period ends, continued use of the service is conditional on payment of the subscription. No obligation arises from non-payment of the subscription — the user's account and data remain intact, and access resumes once payment is made later.
5. Subscription and price
Access to the service is subject to a fee in the form of a recurring subscription (monthly or annual). Current prices are listed on the pricing page at trefa.app/en/pricing and are final — the operator is not a VAT payer.
The subscription renews automatically at the end of each paid period unless the user cancels it (Article 7). The price is charged to the payment card stored with the payment provider. The user will be informed by e-mail of any price change at least 30 days in advance; the change will take effect only from the following renewal, and the user may cancel the subscription before it takes effect.
6. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.). The operator has no access to the user's payment card details; these are processed exclusively by Stripe. A payment receipt is sent to the user by e-mail after each payment.
7. Cancelling the subscription
The user may cancel the subscription at any time in the app settings ("Manage subscription"), just as easily as it was set up. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the already-paid period; access to the service remains intact until then. No refund is given for an already-started paid period, unless Article 8 provides otherwise.
8. Withdrawal from the agreement
A user who is a consumer has the right to withdraw from the agreement within 14 days of its conclusion, or within 14 days of each subscription payment, without giving any reason — by e-mail to frantisek@trefa.app or using the model withdrawal form under Government Regulation No. 363/2013 Sb.
By paying the subscription, the user expressly requests that provision of the service begin immediately, before the withdrawal period expires. If the user withdraws from the agreement within 14 days of payment, the operator will refund the proportionate part of the price corresponding to the unused part of the paid period, within 14 days of the withdrawal, using the same method by which the payment was received.
9. Complaints
If the service does not correspond to the agreed scope (unavailability, defects in paid features), the user may file a complaint by e-mail to frantisek@trefa.app. The operator will handle the complaint without undue delay, no later than within 30 days of it being filed. If the complaint is justified, the user is entitled in particular to a reasonable extension of the subscription or a refund of the proportionate part of the price.
10. Personal data protection
The processing of personal data is governed by a separate document, the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to the terms
The operator may amend these terms to a reasonable extent. The user will be informed of any change in the app or by e-mail at least 14 days before it takes effect. If the user does not agree with the change, they may cancel the subscription as of the date the change takes effect.
12. Final provisions
Legal relations are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. The Czech Trade Inspection Authority (coi.gov.cz) is competent for the out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes; a dispute may also be resolved online via the European ODR platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr). Supervision of compliance with the Trade Licensing Act is carried out by the relevant trade licensing office.
These terms take effect on 1 September 2026.
