What a prediction league is — and why it isn't betting
Everyone in a closed group calls the same fixtures, the app compares each prediction with the real result and turns it into points. One note for anyone following from abroad: kick-off times in the app are shown in Central European Time, and Romania runs an hour ahead — the opener listed at 20:30 was a 21:30 kick-off in Bucharest.
Starting after the season has begun
Liga I is one of Europe's earliest starters, so a group deciding in late July is already a few rounds behind. That matters less than it sounds: a league you create today puts everybody on zero, so nobody carries an advantage from earlier rounds.
Predictions close the moment a match kicks off. Fixtures already played are locked, so nothing can be backdated and there is no argument about who said what. Everything from the next round on is open, and with the season running to March there is plenty left. If you tend to forget until the morning of the match, the app can push a reminder before the deadline.
What you predict, and how the points work
The core of every league is the exact score. You call 2–1, and how close you land decides what you take: points for a perfect scoreline, for the right goal difference with the wrong scoreline, or simply for the right winner.
There is no scoring system handed down from above. As the founder you decide what an exact score is worth, what a correct winner is worth and how a called draw is rated, so two leagues on the same division rarely look alike. For a starting point, see the breakdown in scoring rules.
Groups who want more than a scoreline can also switch on predictions for the goalscorer, the assist and the time of the first goal, with the organiser setting the minute brackets. All of it is optional and scored automatically once the match finishes; the full list is on the features page. Nobody retypes results or arbitrates disputes — the table recalculates itself after full time.
All 16 clubs — or just yours
The 2026/27 line-up in the app is: Arges Pitesti, CFR 1907 Cluj, Corvinul Hunedoara, Csikszereda, Dinamo Bucuresti, Farul Constanta, FC Botosani, FC Voluntari, FCSB, Otelul, Petrolul Ploiesti, Rapid, Sepsi OSK Sfantu Gheorghe, Universitatea Cluj, Universitatea Craiova and Uta Arad.
This is the feature supporters' groups reach for first. Nobody enjoys inventing a scoreline for a midweek fixture between two clubs they have no feelings about — if you follow Rapid, you want to call Rapid games.
Team selection when you create the league lets you tick one club, or several. Everyone then sees only the fixtures your chosen clubs appear in, home and away — out of 240 fixtures across the season, your list comes down to your club's 30.
You can add the rival's club later in the settings; the one limit is that a club cannot be removed once somebody has predicted one of its fixtures. Following your club into Europe as well
Romanian clubs do not only play the domestic season, and running a second league for European nights means two leaderboards and twice the admin. The European line-ups in the app include Universitatea Craiova in the Champions League, and FCSB, CFR 1907 Cluj and Universitatea Cluj in the Europa League and Conference League fields.
The multi-league setting merges several competitions of the same sport into one prediction league: fixtures interleave into a single chronological list and points add up into one table. You pick the competitions at setup and can add more later, and a follow a club across leagues toggle puts your club into every one of them automatically. Your club's colours
To make the league look like it belongs to your group, the admin can apply a colour palette drawn from real club colours.
The palettes are not named after clubs and this is not official branding — just visual inspiration. Changing colours is cosmetic and touches nothing else.
Who a Liga I prediction league suits
Supporters' groups. What English-speaking fans call a supporters' club, Romanian fans call the galerie, and the end of the ground it occupies is the peluza. Either way it is a fixed group that already argues about every scoreline, and a season-long table keeps that going between matchdays.
Romanians living abroad. A diaspora group following the division from Madrid, Turin, Munich or London is exactly the case this fits: the fixture list arrives converted, the reminder lands before kick-off, and the table replaces hunting for a result late at night.
Pubs and sports bars. The regulars tap their calls in before kick-off, and by full time it is settled who the resident expert is.
Offices. Liga I runs from July to March, most of a working year — more natural than a scheduled team-building afternoon, and nobody rewrites a table every Monday.
Online communities. A club Facebook group, a Discord or a subreddit gains a shared table, and joining is one tap on an invite link.
How to set up a Liga I prediction league
It takes a few minutes on a phone or a laptop, and needs no technical knowledge.
- Sign in with Google. On the login page you sign in with your Google account. No password to invent, no registration form.
- Create a league and pick your club. Open create a league. A tree menu walks you through it — choose Football, then Liga I 2026/2027, then optionally tick the club whose fixtures you want.

Worth being straight about the limits. For a one-off call on a single derby, a season-long table is overkill. If your group's whole point is playing for a cash pot, this is the wrong tool by design — there is deliberately no mechanism to take money in or pay it out. And if what you enjoy is transfers and picking a starting XI, that is fantasy football; here you call scorelines and nothing else. What it does well is keep a fixed group engaged across a long season with nothing at stake but pride.
